Global GP Schedule for June

I just noticed that the schedule for June is not the usual 2-week delay between the Sudoku round and the Puzzle round, instead leaving only one week between the two (and then a 3-week gap until the next Sudoku Round in July).

I'm a bit curious, is there a reason for this difference ?

The original reasoning was the the U.S. Puzzle Championship was originally scheduled for the weekend of June 18th to June 21st.

However, since the U.S. Puzzle Championship is likely cancelled, we are currently discussing changing the week back. Any comments here would be greatly appreciated.

To be honest, I hadn't noticed this difference earlier, so yes, for me, it would be easier if the usual 2-week gap was restored :)

But I would understand perfectly if other people had planned their time according to the actual schedule and would be troubled by a change, after all I'm the one who hasn't paid enough attention :)
