Hi, everyone I am new to the World Puzzle GP. I do sudokus for a few years and I saw there are this site to play competition. I like to challenge me so I would like to play the competition. I saw today the examples of puzzles we have to solve for the competition but for some special Sudoku puzzles, I'm not sure how to solve them because I've never seen these types before. Do you know where I could find information or learn techniques for these different Sudoku puzzles? Or is there a place where I could practice once I've found some techniques?
I look forward to hearing from you and challenging myself in competitions.
Solve the archives would help
Just solve the puzzles and you will discover some methods. General methods across all kinds of sudokus include pointing pairs and wings, and some sudoku types have their own starting point, for example, you should focus on close given numbers that have a difference of 5 on XV sudoku, because they eliminate the same number when no X or V is around them. Don't worry if you start slow. Solving each step logically and then find what you can learn from the puzzle is much more important.
Re: New Player searching for techniques
I highly recommend browsing https://gmpuzzles.com excellent selection of puzzle books, as well as the individual puzzles they often post to their blog.
Many of the puzzles come with a video explaining how to solve the puzzle.
