Arboretum and Voxas come with a complexity of rules that is unseen yet. The former in particular goes well overboard. Eels and Voxas fall on the borderline but they are still pretty acceptable due to the similarities with snake and region division puzzles respectively.

So, I ask the better players here, any efficient techniques other than identifying cells lying at the grid borders, to count leaves without actually counting exhaustively.
