What is a Sudoku? Final thoughts and reflections

Hi all,

As some of you are aware, I am the author of a report that tries to survey the landscape of sudoku variations by attempting to classify puzzles that "look like" classic sudoku and puzzles that "solve like" classic sudoku.

The WPF has published this report here: http://www.worldpuzzle.org/archive/reportsquarterlyreports/2020/
You can also view the original here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gl2D2FBy8sbJPnIugUmcNgER6Sp2UhOIxQCL...

That was written a couple of months ago now, and in the meantime I've had some time to reflect more on some of the related issues. Given that some of these reflections were specifically prompted by Player's feedback to Sudoku GP Round 5 (2020) that I've recently come across, I thought it would be worth sharing these reflections here as well.

If this is of no interest to anyone after all, then I apologise.
