I am confused by the wording of Watchtowers Sudoku in GP 2024 round 1. It took me a visit to Logic Master Deutschland, where the same wording appears with an example, to understand the rules.

It may be bold of me, as someone who came third-last in the 2025 SGP round 2 (I'm new and I suck), but I'd like to suggest a wording change for future play. I don't know where to post such a thing, but here seems as good a place as any for an official to view it.
Old wording: "A digit N in a grey cell represents a watchtower, that can overlook exactly N cells, including itself, with digits smaller than N in all four directions up to the first larger digit in that direction. All possible watchtowers are given."
(1) "A digit N ... represents a watchtower" is clumsy. I would say, "A digit N in a grey cell represents the HEIGHT of a watchtower." Or "A grey cell represents a watchtower. The digit N of a watchtower represents its height."
(2) "a watchtower ... can overlook exactly N cells." It CAN overlook or it DOES overlook exactly N cells? I believe its the latter: "A watchtower of height N overlooks N cells, including itself." [We can delete "exactly" because "N cells" and "exactly N calls" has (exactly) the same meaning. One word fewer is better.]
(3) "in all four directions." Sure, it's up, down, left, and right, and not diagonal. But perhaps include "orthogonal" to avoid confusion.
(4) "with digits smaller than N in all four directions up to the first larger digit in that direction." It's not obvious to me that we have to SUM the number of cells with lower digits in all of the four (orthogonal) directions. I suggest being explicit and mentioning a SUM or TOTAL. [Sure, the original text can be read as, "exactly N cells ... in all four directions," but it then continues with "in all four directions ... in that direction." Just needs a bit of editing.]
So perhaps:
"A digit N in a grey cell represents the height of a watchtower. Summed in its four orthogonal directions, a watchtower overlooks N cells, including itself, having digits lower than N, counting in each direction up to the first digit greater than N. All possible watchtowers are given."
I think that's an improvement. I hope someone agrees. Thanks. PP.
