Lines not printing

The last two Sudoku rounds, I have printed the puzzles and found that the lines and shading (Region sum, fortress, etc.) did not print out. This led to me using a highlighter and re-drawing them while looking at the downloaded pdf. Any advice on what setting to change to get the lines to print properly. Round 1 I printed black and white, round 2 I tried color to no avail.

I would appreciate any advice.
