Server downtime

FYI - there appeared to be server downtime/instability at around 01:48 GMT+1hour on Jan 22. Unlucky timing for me as it happened when I requested the password and I lost two minutes on the clock before I could retrieve the password. I submitted my solution to #6 30 seconds late. Not a big deal for my middling score, but it may also impact others.

I am also seeing server instability right now at 03:24 GMT+1hour when trying to post this message.

I am also having trouble with the website. It did not register all of my submissions. I had to keep hitting send because it wasn't going through and it did not take my last submission because it said it was late, which it wouldn't have been if the site was working properly. I was working on it on 1/22 around 6:30 EST. I also tried to send an email to info@gp.worldpuzzle.org but it keeps getting bounced back saying that the email account is disabled.

I had problem submitting as well. It kept saying error. By the time I was able to do, the time is over.

I had the same kind of problem - I couldn't submit any of my answers.

Had the same problem just now. Tried to submit and the site took forever to send and I don't know if it reached. I sent the e-mail just to confirm my answers did reach. And the mail came back just like stated by sstackho.

Had the same issue, sadly the server went down right in the last 10 minutes of my gp attempt.
To be honest, I just finished the first puzzle in that time, still it is sad to miss out those 11 points. I try to e-mail, let's see if it works.

FYI – I am seeing more server instability just recently (00:25:00 GMT+1). Double-checked with: https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/gp.worldpuzzle.org?proto=https It eventually times out to an error screen of “504 Gateway Time-out - nginx/1.20.1”

In the past 10 minutes, the site appears to be down for several minutes, followed by brief uptime, and then down again.

Hit "Send answers" more than 1 minute before the limit... got 2 times 504 (gateway timeout) and when it finally got through the reply say the time is over.

Unfortunatelly this is repeating every fortnite... last time I was just licky that my final answer went through in time.

Hi. I sent an e-mail two weeks ago requesting an amendment for Sudoku Round 1 due to server downtime, but never received any feedback. I see that the results are still listed as preliminary. Can we please get an update?

E-mails to info@gp.worldpuzzle.org bounce back with an undeliverable error (though that might only concer one of the people to whom that address forwards, I don't know). A bit frustrating.

Anyway, the issues I encountered were fairly minor compared to what some people reported here (I only struggled with a few minutes of downtime in the middle of my solving period, and more crucially a brief instant at the very end), but based on the preliminary account of submissions I did lose points because of the server not registering my last submission in time.

I *did* solve puzzle #1 "Arithmetic square (unknowns)" and input my solution about 10 seconds before the end of my time, but the server didn't respond to my attempts to submit and resubmit and re-resubmit until about 15 seconds after the end of my time. I was hoping that this would fit within an automatic tolerance amount, but it didn't seem to.

Anyway, thank you in advance for considering this request.

I resubmitted as asked, sent the mail for you, Karel, with my answers and still my name isn't on the rankings... I'm getting really discouraged with that, because even posting here in the forum is something that is a HUGE luck based thing! The server just goes when it wants and most of the time I can't even get my messages to you...

I had sent an e-mail regarding website issue on 08-02-2022. Again I addressed an e-mail along with solutions of my solved puzzles to info@gp.worldpuzzle.org, puzzlegp@worldpuzzle.com and karel.jr@tesar.cz on 12-02-2022 for entering my results in Points Table. There has been no response to e-mails. Kindly check my solutions and do the needful.

unfortunately you have asked just for prolongation of the GP and this is not in my scope. So I didn't reply to that call.
Later on you have asked to insert solutions into the page, but you have never started the Puzzle GP1, so there isn't any reason to add your solutions because there is no start.

I'm sorry, but in this case this can affect other players if we change the approach.

Thanks for the clarification.I couldn't start because the competition page was not loading when I tried and the website was lagging as I noted in my email but it's fine that you are unable to add my results.
