Puzzle round 4 - Puzzle 18 Goats and Wolves

Hi

In Goats and Wolves it says that some dots are provided. Can I assume, that not all dots are provided and I can draw some more of them in the grid as long as the solution is correct?

Another question : Can two adjacent regions contain the same symbol ?

You may NOT add more dots to the grid. Adjacent regions CAN contain the same symbol.

I will try to get these clarified in the instructions.

Thanks for the clarification. It seems logical actually.

One more question appeared while I was solving it. Can I draw a line from one edge to another edge without visiting any dot?

The phrase “they may not do so at a dot” seems ambiguous. Is that “must not” or “might not”?

Sorry for the slow replies (which are useless now), but to clarify:

You can draw a line from one edge to another without visiting any dot.

"may not", in English, is intended to be the same as "must not" (although "must not" is grammatically awkward).
