Clarification for Three Lines (Round 5 2020)

The instructions imply that for the "Arrow" line, the circle must be at one end of the line. I want to make sure that's explicitly true, and there wouldn't be the possibility of a circle being placed somewhere in the middle of a line, as in the example for the arrow puzzle. Thank you!
