Anyone else find the boundaries in puzzle 10 ambiguous?

I wasn’t sure how the colored and black outlines interacted. For example, are the 5 (F shape) squares between the red and green Xs an area on their own or are they part of the larger area that surrounds the blue, yellow, and green Xs?

The preamble says "the coloring is for aesthetic purposes only". So if you imaging that the red and green is replaced with black, you'll see that they are thicker strokes and therefore yes, the "F shape" is its own region.
