Puzzle GP 6 #14 Yajilin Castle Wall

The instructions for puzzle #14 Yajilin (Castle Wall) are really long and complicated, but I think I understood them, however I cannot reconcile them with the example.

The text refers to cells that will remain empty, and are "unused", and clarifies in the answer key description that outlined cells with clues (either castle wall or yajilin clues) are not unused.

But then, the example grid and its solution both contain some black squares that don't seem to be outlined black squares. I assume were the "unused" cells, causing a lot of confusion. I assume those cells should not have been given in the sample grid (just like, in a Yajilin, the black cells are not given, it is part of the goal to find where tey are), and moreover in the solution they should have been kept blank as well (unlike a normal Yajilin puzzle solution where they'd be black) in order to match the instructions.

Did I get it right that the text is correct but the black cells should not have been given in the grid + should have remained empty in the solution? Or else, what mistake did I make in reading the instructions?

Hi Denis: The example grid should not have any already blackened cells. These cells, as in a Yajilin, are meant to be discovered during solving of the grid. The solution image is accurate.

I forgot to delete the black cells when editing the instruction booklet and my playtesters missed it. The most recent version of the booklet should have this fixed. Sorry for the confusion.
